Winnie Bell is a public health nutrition specialist with over 10 years of experience in international nutrition research, with a focus on dietary assessment, food preferences and values, and sustainable and equitable food systems. Most recently she worked at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University as a senior researcher on the International Dietary Data Expansion (INDDEX) Project for the past seven years. In this role she was part of the core team developing the INDDEX24 Dietary Assessment Platform, and amongst other things, was responsible for the research activities in Viet Nam, including the feasibility and validation studies for the INDDEX24 Dietary Assessment Platform in collaboration with the National Institute of Nutrition. Prior to joining Tufts University, Winnie worked for over five years as a food security analyst and researcher with the Food and Agriculture Organization, the Food Security Information Network (FAO/IFPRI/WFP), and Tufts University. Winnie received her PhD/MSc from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition, and also holds an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University School of Medicine.
